Position Summary

The General Director of Advancement Services plays a crucial role in overseeing the university's advancement activities by managing the systems and processes that gather, organize, and disseminate critical data to support fundraising and alumni engagement efforts. This position is responsible for ensuring the effective management of data systems, information analysis, and reporting tools that drive decision-making and strategic planning across the advancement division. By providing reliable, accurate data, the Director helps inform the university's development strategies, maximizing donor engagement and fundraising potential. In this leadership role, the General Director manages a team of professionals, guiding them in the execution of advancement services that support alumni relations, major giving, and stewardship. The Director is responsible for setting strategic goals, overseeing the day-to-day operations, and ensuring the integration of data-driven insights into advancement activities. This includes managing budgets, allocating resources efficiently, and ensuring that the team meets key performance objectives. The Director collaborates closely with senior leadership within the Advancement division to align activities with the broader goals of the university’s fundraising and donor engagement strategy. Additionally, the General Director plays an integral role in collaborating with other departments within the university to ensure that advancement services support a cohesive and strategic approach to donor relations and fundraising. By fostering strong relationships with key stakeholders, the Director works to enhance the university's ability to raise funds, engage alumni, and maintain a robust donor stewardship program. Through effective leadership, planning, and management, the General Director helps advance the university's mission by providing the necessary infrastructure and data insights that fuel successful advancement efforts.
