General Supervisor, Corporate Engagement

Corporate Engagement
Corporate Engagement initiates, cultivates, and expands corporate relationships to further the mission of the university, enhance public visibility, and achieve other objectives including placement opportunities for students, joint development activities, corporate philanthropy, sponsored research, affinity, and technology transfer.
Management / Leadership
Manager: The positions work is achieved through the direction of others. Managers have direct accountability for setting goals and using resources. They are responsible for administrative oversight of individuals, including conducting recommendations for hiring and termination, writing evaluations, disciplinary actions, day-to-day oversight as well as long-term goal setting and accountability for the performance and productivity of the employees. Managerial positions are reflected in the M1-M3 career track levels in the management/leadership track.
Level 1
Supervisor: Supervises experienced administrative, operative, and/or technical roles. Coordinates schedules and workflow for the team. Focuses on team completion of assignments and is responsible for ensuring the orientation and training of employees.

Position Summary

The General Supervisor for Corporate Engagement is responsible for overseeing a team dedicated to managing and expanding the university's corporate partnerships. This role includes supervising day-to-day operations related to corporate engagement activities, ensuring that the team meets its goals in fostering relationships with corporations for the university’s benefit. The supervisor will coordinate schedules, workflows, and ensure that staff members are properly trained and equipped to support key corporate initiatives, including joint development activities, corporate philanthropy, and student placement opportunities. In addition to managing team performance and productivity, the General Supervisor is accountable for the strategic execution of corporate engagement efforts. This includes ensuring that corporate partnerships align with the university’s advancement and engagement objectives. The supervisor works closely with senior leadership to implement initiatives that increase corporate involvement in university programs, sponsorships, and research collaborations. The role also includes overseeing the stewardship of corporate partners to maintain and grow long-term, impactful relationships that further the university's mission.
