Position Summary

The Development Director for Fundraising is a senior leadership role focused on driving and managing the university’s fundraising efforts across various donor segments, including annual, major, and planned giving. This role is responsible for developing and executing strategies to solicit donations and funds from individuals, businesses, and other philanthropic entities to support the university’s mission and objectives. The Development Director oversees a team of fundraising professionals, guiding them in the identification, cultivation, and solicitation of major donors while ensuring that the university’s fundraising goals are met. In addition to managing the fundraising team, the Development Director works closely with executive leadership to set strategic goals for the department, ensuring alignment with the broader mission of the university. This includes developing budgets, planning campaigns, and evaluating the effectiveness of various fundraising initiatives. The Director is also responsible for long-term planning and overseeing stewardship practices, ensuring the ongoing engagement of donors and optimizing fundraising outcomes. The position requires strong leadership skills, a deep understanding of fundraising strategies, and the ability to collaborate across multiple departments to achieve fundraising success.
