Senior Development Consultant, Principal Gifts

Principal Gifts identify, cultivate, solicit, and steward principal gifts from donors with the institutions highest profile, inclination, and capacity. Designs and implements strategic fundraising plans through collaboration for academic units, regional campuses, and complex markets. Typically manages a portfolio of approximately 30 prospects and gift solicitations greater than $5,000,000.

The Senior Development Consultant for Principal Gifts is a highly experienced and strategic professional responsible for securing transformative donations from the university's most influential and high-capacity donors. This role specializes in managing a focused portfolio of approximately 30 prospects, cultivating relationships, and soliciting principal gifts exceeding $5,000,000. By designing and implementing complex, collaborative fundraising plans, the consultant works across academic units, regional campuses, and diverse markets to align donor interests with the university's long-term vision. As an expert-level individual contributor, this position operates independently while providing thought leadership and mentorship within the development team. The consultant leverages advanced expertise in donor engagement, stewardship, and fundraising strategy to achieve ambitious goals and drive institutional impact.
