Provides state-of-the-art research on insects, their integral roles in ecosystems, and their effective management to support human health, local and global economies, and sustainable food and water supplies.

Position Summary

The General Coordinator for Entomology supports the administrative and operational activities of the entomology department, which focuses on the study of insects and their critical roles in ecosystems, human health, and agricultural systems. This role ensures the smooth execution of department programs and initiatives by coordinating resources, schedules, and processes. The coordinator contributes to projects aimed at advancing research on insect management, sustainable food production, and environmental conservation. As an intermediate-level individual contributor, the General Coordinator works collaboratively with faculty, researchers, and administrative staff to manage logistics, support educational outreach, and facilitate research operations. The role requires some experience in administrative processes and a foundational understanding of entomological research. While not expected to act independently, the coordinator provides reliable and consistent support to enable the department’s success in its mission to address local and global challenges through the study and management of insects.
