They are responsible for administrative oversight of individuals, including conducting recommendations for hiring and termination, writing evaluations, disciplinary actions, day-to-day oversight as well as long-term goal setting and accountability for the performance and productivity of the employees. Supervisor: Supervises experienced administrative, operative, and/or technical roles. Coordinates schedules and workflow for the team. Focuses on team completion of assignments and is responsible for ensuring the orientation and training of employees.

Position Summary

The General Supervisor for Plant and Environmental Sciences is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of a team involved in the protection of the environment and the development of sustainable agricultural practices. This position coordinates the workflow of experienced administrative, technical, and operational staff across various facilities, including farms, greenhouses, and research labs. The supervisor ensures that tasks are completed efficiently and effectively, aligning with organizational goals while maintaining high standards for research, safety, and environmental sustainability. Additionally, the General Supervisor is responsible for employee training, orientation, and performance evaluations. They provide guidance and support to team members, ensuring smooth collaboration across various research and field initiatives. By managing resources and maintaining productivity within the team, the supervisor contributes to the advancement of plant biology, ecology, and other related research fields that drive agricultural innovation and environmental protection.
