The General Manager for Nutrition is responsible for overseeing the strategic and operational aspects of nutrition services within the athletics department, ensuring that student-athletes receive the highest standard of care and support for their dietary and health needs. This role involves managing a team of nutrition professionals, setting goals, and providing guidance to ensure the delivery of effective, research-based nutritional programs tailored to enhance athletic performance and overall health. The manager collaborates with coaches, trainers, and medical staff to align nutrition plans with team strategies and performance objectives. In this leadership position, the General Manager is accountable for the planning, staffing, and budgeting of the nutrition program, ensuring resources are effectively allocated to meet departmental goals. They oversee the development of educational initiatives, meal planning services, and recovery-focused dietary strategies, while also monitoring program outcomes to ensure continuous improvement. With a focus on fostering a culture of wellness and high performance, the General Manager for Nutrition plays a pivotal role in supporting the holistic development and success of student-athletes.
