Associate General Coordinator, Recreational Sports

Recreational Sports provides opportunities for students, faculty, and staff to engage in physical activities to create healthy lifestyle habits. Positions are typically involved with open recreation, fitness, aquatics, intramural sports, sport clubs, venture out, and youth programs.

A range of knowledge, complexity, autonomy, and impact may be needed to achieve results at certain levels. Individual contributor roles are reflected in the Academic Administration, Development, General Administration, Technical/STEM, and C1-C4 of the Clinical tracks.

Position Summary

The Associate General Coordinator for Recreational Sports supports the management and execution of recreational programs and activities for students, faculty, and staff, with a focus on promoting healthy, active lifestyles. This role assists in coordinating a variety of recreational offerings, including fitness classes, intramural sports, aquatics, and sport clubs. The Associate General Coordinator will help plan events, schedule activities, and ensure the smooth operation of daily recreational services, working closely with other staff members to maintain program quality and user satisfaction. This position also requires The Associate General Coordinator to contribute to the development and implementation of new recreational initiatives that align with the university's wellness goals. They will be expected to monitor program effectiveness, make recommendations for improvements, and ensure proper equipment and facilities are available for all activities. As an entry-level position, the role provides an opportunity to gain experience in recreational sports administration, leadership, and program coordination, while collaborating with senior coordinators and other departments to enhance campus wellness and engagement.
