They are responsible for administrative oversight of individuals, including conducting recommendations for hiring and termination, writing evaluations, disciplinary actions, day-to-day oversight as well as long-term goal setting and accountability for the performance and productivity of the employees. Managerial positions are reflected in the M1-M3 career track levels in the management/leadership track.

Position Summary

The General Supervisor for Athlete Engagement is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of athlete engagement programs, ensuring smooth execution of community service and outreach initiatives. This role includes managing a team that organizes and coordinates events, communications, and activities aimed at fostering leadership, civic responsibility, and personal growth among student-athletes. The supervisor works closely with various departments to ensure that programs align with the goals of the athletics department and the overall mission of supporting student-athletes’ development both on and off the field. In addition to overseeing the team's activities, the General Supervisor ensures that all logistical details are managed efficiently, from event planning to participant coordination. They are responsible for managing team workflow, scheduling, and ensuring the proper training of staff members. The supervisor also monitors program outcomes, providing guidance to staff, handling evaluations, and ensuring that all initiatives meet both short-term objectives and long-term strategic goals for athlete engagement.
