Skill Acquisition and Analytics is the analysis of sports data, including components of sports such as player performance, business operations, and recruitment. The data offers an advantage to both individuals and teams participating in a competition and sports enterprises. Skill analytics uses the application of mathematical and statistical rules to sports.

Position Summary

The Senior General Coordinator for Skill Acquisition and Analytics plays a critical role in leveraging data to enhance the performance of student-athletes and athletic teams. This position involves advanced analysis of sports data across multiple domains, including player performance, team dynamics, and recruitment strategies. The Senior General Coordinator will apply statistical and mathematical models to generate insights that can optimize training regimens, game strategies, and recruitment decisions. Their work will directly impact the overall effectiveness of athletic programs by providing data-driven recommendations for continuous improvement in both individual and team performances. In addition to data analysis, the Senior General Coordinator will mentor junior staff and collaborate closely with coaches, athletic trainers, and other stakeholders to ensure that analytics are embedded into everyday decision-making processes. This role requires significant experience in data science and sports analytics, with the ability to interpret complex data sets and present findings in a clear and actionable manner. The Senior General Coordinator will also be responsible for overseeing the development and implementation of new analytical tools, identifying trends in performance data, and driving strategic initiatives that elevate the university’s athletic programs to a competitive advantage.
