As part of the Technical/STEM job family, this role leads a team of analytics professionals responsible for collecting, organizing, and analyzing data to support a wide range of business operations and institutional priorities. The Technical Manager is accountable for setting team goals, managing workloads, and ensuring the quality and timeliness of all deliverables. The role involves translating high-level strategic questions into clear analytic objectives, as well as identifying opportunities to enhance data systems, processes, and tools. Collaboration with other departments, technology teams, and university leadership is essential to support the university’s data governance and analytics capabilities. At the M2 managerial level, the Technical Manager has full responsibility for the performance and output of the team, including hiring decisions, training and development, evaluations, and disciplinary actions.
