Sponsored Agreement Management is responsible for grants, contracts, subcontracts, and other agreements between a sponsor and the university for the purpose of conducting research, instruction, training, and other activities at the university, or funding the compensation of university staff.

Position Summary

The Senior General Coordinator for Sponsored Agreement Management is responsible for managing and overseeing the administration of grants, contracts, subcontracts, and other sponsored agreements that support the university's research, instructional, and training activities. This role involves a high level of autonomy, requiring the Senior Coordinator to ensure that all agreements comply with university policies and sponsor requirements, while also providing guidance on complex contractual issues. They assist with negotiations, monitor the status of agreements, and ensure that funding is allocated appropriately, contributing significantly to the smooth execution of sponsored projects. In addition to managing agreements, the Senior General Coordinator may mentor and lead a team of coordinators or support staff, offering expertise on best practices and procedures. They are expected to act as an authority on sponsored agreement management, resolving issues and providing solutions that align with both internal and external regulations. With a deep understanding of the sponsored research landscape, the Senior General Coordinator plays a key role in ensuring the university’s projects are compliant, funded appropriately, and aligned with strategic goals. The position requires independent action and advanced knowledge to successfully navigate complex agreements, ensuring the continued success and growth of the university’s research and funding initiatives.
