Senior General Coordinator, Sponsored Financial Management

Sponsored Financial Management is responsible for working closely with faculty and departments to ensure financial compliance and proper accounting of externally sponsored funds. Responsibilities include financial reporting, cost transfer reviews, award closeouts, cash management, effort reporting, audits, and reviews.

The Senior General Coordinator for Sponsored Financial Management plays a crucial role in ensuring the financial integrity and compliance of externally sponsored funds. This position involves working closely with faculty, staff, and departments to oversee financial reporting, manage cost transfers, and facilitate award closeouts. The coordinator ensures that all financial activities align with sponsor agreements, university policies, and regulatory requirements, contributing to the accuracy and transparency of financial management in sponsored programs. With a higher level of responsibility, the Senior General Coordinator also plays an integral role in effort reporting, cash management, audits, and financial reviews. This position requires a deep understanding of sponsored financial regulations and the ability to analyze complex financial data to provide recommendations and solutions. The Senior Coordinator often acts as a resource for team members and departments, guiding them through compliance and accounting processes, while also having a hand in leading initiatives to improve financial operations and resolve issues.
