Senior General Coordinator, Operations

Operations is responsible for cross-functional management and administration of an organizations resources, including but not limited to finance, processes and operations, human capital, facilities, equipment, systems, and communication. Conducts the daily operations of an organizational or academic unit, which may include budgeting, forecasting, and financial modeling. Business operations professionals gather and analyze data to construct key performance indicators to monitor and improve performance and reinforce strategic decision making.

Position Summary

The Senior General Coordinator of Operations is a skilled, experienced professional responsible for overseeing and coordinating a broad range of operational activities within the university’s departments or units. This role ensures that daily operational functions—spanning finance, human capital, facilities, equipment, systems, and communication—are executed efficiently, aligning with the university's strategic objectives. The Senior General Coordinator acts independently, taking a proactive approach in managing resources, tracking performance, and driving improvements in operational processes. This position involves significant responsibility for budgeting, financial forecasting, and modeling, as well as supporting project management efforts to execute strategic plans. The Senior General Coordinator will work closely with senior leaders and teams to gather and analyze data, develop key performance indicators (KPIs), and assess operational performance to inform decision-making and continuous improvement. As a senior contributor, the coordinator will have the authority to influence processes and systems, while also providing leadership to junior coordinators or team members. The Senior General Coordinator will ensure that operational goals are met, resources are effectively allocated, and all tasks are completed within established timelines and budgets. Additionally, this role may involve mentoring staff and guiding them through complex operational challenges, while fostering a culture of collaboration and excellence. This position requires an individual with a strong foundation in operations management, the ability to work independently, and a comprehensive understanding of resource management across multiple functions. The Senior General Coordinator should possess strong leadership, analytical, and problem-solving skills to manage cross-functional teams and contribute to the optimization of university-wide operations.
