Position Summary

The General Consultant in Strategic Alliances is responsible for providing high-level expertise and guidance in the development, management, and execution of external partnerships that align with the university's goals and objectives. Operating as an individual contributor, this role requires advanced knowledge and skills in strategic planning, relationship management, and project execution. The General Consultant works independently, leveraging a deep understanding of both organizational dynamics and external market conditions to drive successful collaborations with outside organizations. This position is critical to the university's efforts to build sustainable, mutually beneficial partnerships that enhance organizational growth and advance its mission. The General Consultant is responsible for analyzing and recommending strategies to cultivate new alliances, manage existing relationships, and ensure that partnerships are aligned with the university's broader strategic priorities. By working closely with senior leadership and other stakeholders, the consultant provides insights and advice on best practices for developing effective partnerships that contribute to the university's long-term success. The General Consultant also serves as a subject matter expert, providing mentorship and leadership within the Strategic Alliances team. This role involves taking ownership of significant projects, coordinating resources, and guiding the team in achieving operational goals. While the position is largely independent, it also includes collaborative elements where the consultant works across departments to ensure the seamless execution of strategic initiatives. As an advanced-level position, the General Consultant is expected to bring a high level of autonomy and expertise to all aspects of their work. They must be able to operate independently while mentoring less experienced colleagues, ensuring the alignment of departmental efforts with the overarching strategic goals of the institution. The role is integral to the university’s ability to establish and maintain valuable external partnerships, making a significant impact on the institution’s growth and sustainability.
