General Consultant, Air Transportation

Air Transportation is responsible for day-to-day operation and management of air transportation systems, services, and infrastructure. Responsible for fight scheduling, aircraft maintenance, and piloting aircraft to appropriate destinations.

Position Summary

The General Consultant within Air Transportation at Virginia Tech plays a critical role in overseeing and managing the university's air transportation systems and services. Additionally, the General Consultant provides leadership and mentorship to team members, guiding them in the execution of air transportation services and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards. The position also involves analyzing and recommending improvements to the air transportation infrastructure, providing expert advice on flight operations, and ensuring that maintenance protocols are followed. By collaborating with internal stakeholders and external partners, the General Consultant ensures that air transportation services support the overall goals and mission of the university, while maintaining a high standard of safety, efficiency, and reliability. Ultimately, the General Consultant plays a key role in advancing the university's air transportation capabilities through expert consultation and leadership.
