New Media plans and builds a social media presence to amplify key messages, promote brand and impact awareness, drive traffic to social media pages, and encourage students and stakeholders to engage with the institutions social networks. Monitors and supports issues management.

Manager: The positions work is achieved through the direction of others. Managers have direct accountability for setting goals and using resources. They are responsible for administrative oversight of individuals, including conducting recommendations for hiring and termination, writing evaluations, disciplinary actions, day-to-day oversight as well as long-term goal setting and accountability for the performance and productivity of the employees. Position Summary

The General Supervisor within New Media is responsible for overseeing the daily operations and team activities related to the university’s social media and digital communications efforts. This role involves managing and directing the work of a team of professionals to implement strategies that amplify the institution’s brand and key messages across various digital platforms. The supervisor ensures that social media content aligns with the university’s broader communication goals and that it effectively engages with current and potential students, alumni, employees, and other stakeholders. The supervisor is accountable for coordinating schedules, workflows, and team priorities, ensuring tasks are completed on time and in alignment with university objectives. They provide guidance, mentorship, and training to team members, ensuring they are equipped to handle content creation, monitoring of social media channels, and issues management. Additionally, the supervisor plays a key role in overseeing the strategic implementation of social media campaigns, monitoring performance, and ensuring that content is relevant and impactful. This position requires leadership and experience in digital communications while fostering a collaborative environment to drive team success.
