Faculty Administration supports and manages a broad range of academic processes, including curriculum development, evaluating and supporting instructional quality, and assessing the performance and advancement of faculty.
Executive
Executive: The positions work is achieved through the strategic direction of the organization as a whole. Executives have direct accountability for setting strategic goals and using resources. They are responsible for administrative oversight of a senior management area or other business unit with a universitywide scope of impact. These positions contribute to the highest-level panels and teams. The decisions made under the purview of the executive positions duties must routinely have direct impact on success across the university and impact the overall development of the university. Executive positions are reflected in the E1-E3 career track levels in the management/leadership track.
Level 2
Executive: Has senior-level leadership responsibilities for major unit operations. Establishes and implements policies, procedures, programs, fiscal authority, and operational autonomy. Leads department heads, chairs, school directors, directors, senior managers, and managers. Scope of responsibility is university wide for an overall college or business unit.

The Academic Executive within Faculty Administration is responsible for the strategic leadership and oversight of academic processes such as curriculum development, faculty performance assessment, and the support of instructional quality across the university. This executive-level position involves setting and achieving long-term academic goals, implementing policies and programs, and overseeing the university's academic operations with a focus on enhancing faculty advancement and institutional success. With a university-wide scope of responsibility, the Academic Executive leads and manages a wide range of academic departments, including department heads, chairs, school directors, and senior managers. This role holds the authority to establish and enforce policies, procedures, and programs that align with the university’s strategic objectives and contributes significantly to the overall direction and development of the institution. Additionally, the Academic Executive provides operational autonomy and fiscal authority within their area, ensuring that the academic units are functioning effectively and contributing to the university's mission. Decisions made by this position have a direct impact on the academic success of the institution and influence the development of faculty, curriculum, and student-facing academic initiatives.
