With a higher level of experience and expertise, the Senior Academic Coordinator operates independently and takes on a more strategic role within the department. This position involves coordinating and managing key academic initiatives, advising faculty on matters related to academic policies and procedures, and ensuring that instructional quality is maintained across various programs. The Senior Academic Coordinator may also be responsible for reviewing and assessing faculty development opportunities and contributing to the creation and improvement of curriculum. While the role may still be an individual contributor, it requires a greater level of autonomy and leadership, often influencing the direction of academic processes and leading teams or projects. The Senior Academic Coordinator’s work has a significant impact on the overall success and development of academic programs within the institution.
