Faculty Development includes understanding student performance measurables both in and out of the classroom, leading to faculty and departments seeking ways to better inform their teaching practices.

The Academic Consultant within Faculty Development is a senior-level, individual contributor position responsible for supporting and enhancing the university's faculty development programs and initiatives. The Academic Consultant plays a key role in shaping the strategic direction of faculty development programs, helping to identify areas for growth and improvement based on evidence-based practices and student learning outcomes. This position requires advanced knowledge of teaching strategies, curriculum development, and faculty support systems. The consultant works independently, applying critical thinking and expert judgment to develop innovative solutions and foster a high-quality learning environment for both students and faculty. Additionally, the role may involve mentoring junior faculty or assisting with the implementation of new faculty development initiatives across the university.
