This includes resources such as staff, training, budgetary resources, equipment, and software provided to faculty to support teaching, learning, research, and assessment.

Position Summary

The Senior Academic Coordinator within Faculty Support is responsible for overseeing and enhancing the academic support systems designed to assist faculty in improving their teaching, learning, and research outcomes. This position plays a key role in managing and coordinating resources, staff, training, and infrastructure that enable faculty members to succeed and contribute to a positive student learning experience. The Senior Academic Coordinator works independently to ensure that faculty have access to the necessary tools, technologies, and professional development opportunities, supporting faculty in their academic roles. In addition to overseeing daily operations, the Senior Academic Coordinator contributes to the development and implementation of strategies aimed at improving faculty effectiveness. This includes coordinating training sessions, monitoring budgets, and ensuring that faculty have access to the equipment and software necessary for their work. They may also act as a subject matter expert on faculty support processes, influencing improvements and providing recommendations on best practices. With significant experience and education in the field, the Senior Academic Coordinator operates with a high level of autonomy, driving initiatives and collaborating with other departments and leadership to ensure the success of faculty support programs. They may provide guidance and leadership to junior team members, facilitating effective team collaboration and ensuring the team’s objectives align with the overall goals of the faculty support function. The role requires strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills to effectively coordinate resources and ensure the smooth execution of faculty support services.
