Faculty Support supports and manages academic processes, including strategies employed to provide faculty with knowledge, skills, abilities and infrastructure to effectively facilitate student success. This includes resources such as staff, training, budgetary resources, equipment, and software provided to faculty to support teaching, learning, research, and assessment.

Position Summary

The Academic Consultant within Faculty Support provides expert guidance and strategic consulting to enhance the academic environment, supporting faculty members in their teaching, research, and student engagement. This role involves advising on best practices, identifying areas for improvement, and offering tailored solutions to elevate instructional quality and faculty performance. The consultant works independently, bringing advanced knowledge and experience to the development and implementation of strategies that address faculty needs in various areas, including curriculum development, teaching methods, assessment practices, and technology integration. As an authority in the field, the Academic Consultant analyzes faculty challenges, evaluates existing support structures, and recommends initiatives or interventions to drive continuous improvement. This includes collaborating with faculty and leadership to enhance their effectiveness in the classroom and in their research endeavors. The consultant may also contribute to the design of faculty development programs, workshops, and training materials to ensure that faculty are well-supported in their roles. The position requires strong leadership, mentorship, and communication skills, as the Academic Consultant is expected to guide and influence a variety of academic stakeholders, providing insights and recommendations that align with the university's strategic goals. The consultant also plays a role in fostering a culture of innovation and excellence in teaching and learning, ensuring faculty have the necessary resources, tools, and infrastructure to support student success.
