General Coordinator, Employee Relations

Employee Relations coordinates employee relations programs to ensure compliance with policies and practices. Develops and implements policies and procedures in areas such as grievance procedures and exit interviews. Researches and partners with management to respond to employee concerns and grievances. Documents and maintains employee relations records.

Position Summary

The General Coordinator within Employee Relations is responsible for coordinating and supporting employee relations programs to ensure that the university remains compliant with policies and best practices. This role involves assisting in the development and implementation of policies and procedures related to employee grievances, exit interviews, and other critical employee relations matters. The General Coordinator works closely with management to research and address employee concerns, resolve grievances, and ensure that all actions align with the university's policies and legal requirements. In this individual contributor position, the General Coordinator is expected to perform tasks such as documenting and maintaining detailed employee relations records, providing support during investigations, and assisting with the development of communication strategies to inform employees about their rights and the processes in place. The role also requires collaboration with other teams within human resources and the broader organization to promote a positive and fair workplace environment. While the position requires a good level of knowledge and experience, it is not expected to act fully independently, as the coordinator works under the guidance of senior employee relations staff.
