Position Summary

The Senior General Coordinator within Inclusion and Diversity plays an integral role in the development and implementation of strategies that advance the university's commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion. This position involves overseeing complex projects and initiatives aimed at fostering an inclusive, equitable campus culture where all members contribute to the university's mission and embrace its core values. The Senior General Coordinator works closely with multiple university departments and leadership to ensure that inclusive practices are effectively integrated across the institution. In this individual contributor role, the Senior General Coordinator is expected to manage significant diversity and inclusion programs, ensuring they are strategically planned, executed, and evaluated. They take ownership of specific projects, influence the design of new initiatives, and lead key efforts that drive organizational change. This position requires a deep understanding of the challenges and opportunities related to inclusion, and the ability to assess, improve, and sustain ongoing programs that align with the university's goals for diversity. The Senior General Coordinator also serves as a key point of contact for internal stakeholders, providing expert guidance on best practices for creating and maintaining an inclusive environment. With a higher level of responsibility and autonomy, the Senior General Coordinator often provides leadership to less senior staff, offering mentorship and guidance on projects related to inclusion and diversity. They are expected to act independently, leveraging their experience to make data-driven recommendations that influence policy decisions and contribute to the university’s ongoing growth in this area. The Senior General Coordinator ensures that all initiatives are aligned with the university's broader strategic goals while promoting an inclusive culture where every member feels valued and supported.
