Position Summary

The Technical Director within Development and Operations plays a key leadership role, responsible for overseeing the integration of software development (Dev) and IT operations (Ops) across multiple teams within the organization. This senior-level position directs the full systems development life cycle, ensuring that both development and operations efforts are aligned with the organization's strategic goals. The Technical Director will drive continuous delivery of high-quality software applications while managing the efficiency, performance, and security of IT infrastructure and applications across various platforms. In this position, the Technical Director will collaborate closely with executive leadership to define and implement long-term strategies, overseeing critical aspects such as planning, staffing, budgeting, and resource management. This role requires the ability to balance tactical decision-making with strategic foresight, ensuring that teams remain agile and responsive to business needs while adhering to industry best practices. Additionally, the Technical Director will champion the adoption of innovative technologies, enhance the performance of installed systems, and lead the transition from legacy systems to cutting-edge solutions that drive organizational growth and operational excellence. As a senior leader, the Technical Director is responsible for guiding and mentoring managers and teams across development and operations functions. They will foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement, ensuring the development of scalable, secure, and high-performance applications. The Technical Director will also oversee key initiatives related to infrastructure, compliance, and technology adoption, while reporting to executive leadership on performance metrics, team progress, and key strategic outcomes.
