Data Management is responsible for the practice of collecting, keeping, and using data securely, efficiently, and cost-effectively. The goal of data management is to help faculty, staff, students, and the university optimize the use of data within the bounds of policy and regulation.

Individual contributor roles are reflected in the Academic Administration, Development, General Administration, Technical/STEM, and C1-C4 of the Clinical tracks.

Position Summary

The Senior Analyst in Data Management is responsible for overseeing the advanced management, analysis, and governance of data systems across the university. This role requires deep expertise in data management practices and the ability to ensure data is stored, protected, and utilized efficiently in compliance with university policies and regulations. The Senior Analyst collaborates with stakeholders across departments to design and optimize data collection processes, ensuring data accessibility, integrity, and security. The role also involves providing guidance on data-related issues and ensuring the university's data management strategies are aligned with industry standards and best practices. In addition to managing data systems and infrastructures, the Senior Analyst is responsible for leading and conducting complex data analysis to support decision-making processes. They work closely with both technical and non-technical teams to identify data needs, develop data models, and create comprehensive reports that inform key strategic initiatives. The Senior Analyst also plays a pivotal role in data governance, helping to define data standards, implement quality control measures, and ensure compliance with data protection regulations. As a senior team member, the Analyst is expected to offer mentorship to junior staff and drive process improvements through innovative data management solutions. The Senior Analyst in Data Management is a key individual contributor who brings expertise in both data management and technology. This role requires a high degree of autonomy, where the Senior Analyst leads critical data initiatives, coordinates the integration of new technologies, and influences the strategic direction of data management practices across the university.
