Plans and delivers faculty development in response to faculty and institutional needs in a variety of formats including individual coaching, seminars, and workshops on the effective use of technology
Executive
Executive: The positions work is achieved through the strategic direction of the organization as a whole. Executives have direct accountability for setting strategic goals and using resources. They are responsible for administrative oversight of a senior management area or other business unit with a universitywide scope of impact. These positions contribute to the highest-level panels and teams. The decisions made under the purview of the executive positions duties must routinely have direct impact on success across the university and impact the overall development of the university. Executive positions are reflected in the E1-E3 career track levels in the management/leadership track.
Level 1
Associate Executive: Accountable for annual execution of goals and objectives in area of responsibility; disseminates goals to direct reports and ensures goals are operationalized. Recommends and may approve policy for area of operational and/or functional control. Typically has multiple directors and managers as direct reports. Scope of responsibility is a university wide sub-function with multiple disciplines, or multiple functions within a college or business unit.

Position Summary

The Associate Technical Executive within Educational Technology plays a key leadership role in shaping and executing strategic initiatives that support the integration and adoption of technology in educational settings. This position is accountable for overseeing and ensuring the successful implementation of educational technology solutions across the university, fostering an environment that enhances both teaching and learning experiences. The Associate Executive collaborates with faculty, instructional designers, and technology teams to align educational technology strategies with institutional goals, ensuring that technology initiatives support the broader mission of improving educational outcomes. This role is also instrumental in providing faculty development through various formats such as individual coaching, workshops, and seminars. In this executive capacity, the Associate Technical Executive holds responsibility for the operational success of educational technology programs and services, including overseeing multiple teams and functions. They work with senior leadership to set strategic goals for educational technology, ensuring alignment with the institution’s long-term vision. The Associate Executive plays a pivotal role in the development and execution of policies that govern the use of educational technology, including technology adoption, training, and support programs. By ensuring that the necessary infrastructure, resources, and training are in place, they help faculty and staff effectively incorporate technology into their teaching and administrative activities. The Associate Technical Executive also oversees the evaluation and improvement of existing educational technology systems, constantly seeking new ways to enhance teaching practices through technology. They are responsible for recommending and implementing policies and procedures to improve the delivery of educational technology services. With a focus on strategic growth and innovation, the Associate Executive ensures that the institution remains at the forefront of educational technology trends, driving excellence in teaching and learning outcomes. This role requires a strong mix of technical expertise, leadership, and an understanding of the educational environment to create impactful and sustainable technology solutions for the university community.
