Position Summary

A Senior Analyst within Cyber Threats plays a vital role in researching, managing, and mitigating cyber threats to safeguard the organization’s data and IT infrastructure. In this individual contributor role, the Senior Analyst monitors and assesses potential threats, vulnerabilities, and breaches within the organization's network and systems. They apply cybersecurity policies and best practices to ensure the protection of sensitive data, helping to prevent unauthorized access and potential cybercrime. The Senior Analyst is responsible for identifying emerging threats and trends, conducting in-depth analysis, and providing actionable insights to strengthen the organization's defenses. In this senior-level position, the Senior Analyst works independently to develop and implement threat detection strategies, using advanced tools and techniques to monitor, identify, and respond to security incidents. They collaborate with other members of the Information Security team to conduct risk assessments, perform forensic analysis, and support incident response efforts. The Senior Analyst also assists in the development of security protocols, ensuring they align with best practices and regulatory requirements, and works to continuously improve the organization's cyber defense posture. Additionally, they play an important role in creating and maintaining detailed reports on cyber threats and vulnerabilities for senior leadership. The Senior Analyst within Cyber Threats also takes on a leadership role in guiding less experienced team members, sharing their expertise on threat analysis, mitigation strategies, and security technologies. They provide mentorship and support to junior analysts and help drive continuous learning within the team. By leveraging their deep understanding of cybersecurity risks and mitigation techniques, the Senior Analyst ensures that the organization remains vigilant and proactive in defending against cyber threats. This position is crucial for maintaining the security and integrity of the organization’s information systems and protecting against the growing risk of cyberattacks.
