Position Summary

A Technical Manager within Cyber Threats is responsible for leading a team of cybersecurity professionals focused on identifying, analyzing, and mitigating cyber threats across the organization. This role involves overseeing the execution of strategies designed to protect the organization’s information systems and data from cybercrime, data breaches, and other cyber risks. The Technical Manager is responsible for setting clear objectives, ensuring that security operations are effectively carried out, and that the team is equipped with the tools and knowledge to proactively address emerging threats. They play a key role in coordinating incident response efforts, ensuring that security incidents are swiftly identified, mitigated, and documented. In this managerial position, the Technical Manager has full accountability for the team’s performance and output. They are responsible for overseeing day-to-day operations, managing resources, and ensuring the team meets both short-term objectives and long-term strategic goals. This includes evaluating and optimizing security processes, conducting risk assessments, and developing or refining incident response plans. The Technical Manager ensures that their team is trained on the latest cyber threats and security techniques, empowering team members to stay ahead of emerging risks. Additionally, they collaborate with other departments, such as Information Security and IT operations, to ensure alignment in security efforts across the organization. The Technical Manager within Cyber Threats also plays an important role in the professional development of their team. They provide mentorship and guidance to junior staff, fostering a collaborative environment that encourages continuous learning and improvement. By analyzing trends in cyber threats and responding to feedback from senior leadership, the manager ensures that the team remains aligned with the organization’s overall cybersecurity strategy.
