IT Support provides technical support to faculty, staff, students, and university stakeholders for a range of hardware and software related information technology systems. Diagnoses user problems and responds to problems, queries, or complaints from users.

Individual contributor roles are reflected in the Academic Administration, Development, General Administration, Technical/STEM, and C1-C4 of the Clinical tracks.

Position Summary

The IT Support Analyst provides essential technical support to faculty, staff, students, and university stakeholders, addressing a wide range of issues related to hardware, software, and network systems. In this role, the Analyst is responsible for diagnosing and troubleshooting technical problems, offering solutions, and responding to inquiries or complaints. By ensuring that users receive effective and timely assistance, the Analyst plays a key role in maintaining the smooth operation of IT systems across the institution, contributing to user satisfaction and the overall efficiency of the IT department. As an individual contributor in the IT Support team, the Analyst works with moderate autonomy, utilizing their technical expertise to support the day-to-day IT operations. They assist in the installation, maintenance, and upgrading of hardware and software systems, and collaborate with other team members when more complex issues arise. While they may not act independently in all cases, they apply their technical knowledge and problem-solving skills to resolve issues and ensure that users have access to the tools and resources they need to succeed. The position requires a solid foundation in information technology and an understanding of various IT systems and processes. Although the Analyst is not expected to work autonomously in all situations, they contribute to the efficiency of the IT support team by managing user inquiries, troubleshooting, and providing solutions to a variety of technical challenges. As part of the team, the Analyst helps drive the ongoing improvement of IT services, ensuring that both the infrastructure and the support provided to the university community remain current, effective, and responsive to user needs.
