Utilizes server-side, client-side, and database tools. Creates websites from concept to finished product. Optimizes performance, security, and scalability.

Position Summary

The Analyst within Web Development and Design plays a vital role in the conceptualization, design, and creation of websites and web applications to support the university's online presence. This position involves working with a variety of technologies, including server-side, client-side, and database tools, to develop and maintain websites that are not only visually appealing but also highly functional and user-friendly. The analyst collaborates with faculty, staff, and other stakeholders to understand their needs and translate them into effective web solutions, ensuring that all projects meet high standards for design, performance, and usability. In this role, the Analyst is responsible for executing web development tasks, including creating web pages, integrating content, and ensuring that websites are optimized for performance, security, and scalability. They utilize their technical expertise to troubleshoot and resolve issues, implement updates, and maintain websites throughout their lifecycle. The position also involves conducting testing and ensuring that all websites are cross-browser compatible and responsive across various devices and screen sizes. Additionally, the analyst participates in optimizing the user experience (UX) by analyzing user behavior and providing recommendations for improvements. While the Analyst is an individual contributor, they are expected to work collaboratively within a team environment and assist in coordinating workflows and project timelines. They may support senior web developers and designers and help to implement new tools or technologies that can enhance web development processes. The Analyst contributes to the development of documentation for website design and development processes, ensuring that all relevant procedures are standardized and followed.
