Compliance Services
Compliance Services ensures the universitys compliance with regulatory and quality standards and fosters a culture of integrity. Works with colleges and units to develop and implement internal controls, processes, and programs that access and enhance compliance. May engage with regulatory commissions and authorities or advance university positions with external and internal stakeholders.
Executive
Executive: The positions work is achieved through the strategic direction of the organization as a whole. Executives have direct accountability for setting strategic goals and using resources. They are responsible for administrative oversight of a senior management area or other business unit with a universitywide scope of impact. These positions contribute to the highest-level panels and teams. The decisions made under the purview of the executive positions duties must routinely have direct impact on success across the university and impact the overall development of the university. Executive positions are reflected in the E1-E3 career track levels in the management/leadership track.
Level 2
Executive: Has senior-level leadership responsibilities for major unit operations. Establishes and implements policies, procedures, programs, fiscal authority, and operational autonomy. Leads department heads, chairs, school directors, directors, senior managers, and managers. Scope of responsibility is university wide for an overall college or business unit.

Position Summary

The General Executive within Compliance Services holds a senior leadership role responsible for the strategic direction and management of the university’s compliance programs. This position ensures the institution adheres to all regulatory and quality standards while fostering a culture of integrity and ethical conduct across all operations. The General Executive collaborates with various university departments, colleges, and administrative units to design and implement effective internal controls, compliance processes, and programs. This role also requires extensive engagement with external regulatory bodies and authorities, helping to represent the university’s interests and maintain a proactive stance on compliance issues. In addition to overseeing the operational aspects of compliance services, the General Executive has significant influence over the university’s overall compliance strategy, guiding senior managers and department heads in achieving goals related to legal and regulatory compliance. The position requires a deep understanding of university operations and a proactive approach to identifying and addressing risks associated with non-compliance. This individual will manage resources, budgets, and personnel to ensure that compliance goals are met and that university policies align with both legal requirements and institutional priorities. The General Executive will also drive the ongoing development of compliance initiatives, ensuring continuous improvement and a consistent approach to addressing emerging challenges. The General Executive is accountable for the success of compliance services at the university level, overseeing a large scope of responsibility that spans multiple functional areas or business units. This role requires expert judgment in setting and implementing policies, procedures, and programs that have a university-wide impact. The General Executive will provide strategic leadership to a diverse team of compliance professionals, setting clear objectives, managing performance, and ensuring that compliance is embedded into the university’s culture and daily operations. The decisions made by the General Executive will have a lasting effect on the university’s reputation, regulatory standing, and ability to effectively mitigate compliance-related risks across its operations.
