General Supervisor, Compliance Services

Compliance Services
Compliance Services ensures the universitys compliance with regulatory and quality standards and fosters a culture of integrity. Works with colleges and units to develop and implement internal controls, processes, and programs that access and enhance compliance. May engage with regulatory commissions and authorities or advance university positions with external and internal stakeholders.
Management / Leadership
Manager: The positions work is achieved through the direction of others. Managers have direct accountability for setting goals and using resources. They are responsible for administrative oversight of individuals, including conducting recommendations for hiring and termination, writing evaluations, disciplinary actions, day-to-day oversight as well as long-term goal setting and accountability for the performance and productivity of the employees. Managerial positions are reflected in the M1-M3 career track levels in the management/leadership track.
Level 1
Supervisor: Supervises experienced administrative, operative, and/or technical roles. Coordinates schedules and workflow for the team. Focuses on team completion of assignments and is responsible for ensuring the orientation and training of employees.
G - General Administration

Position Summary

The General Supervisor within Compliance Services is responsible for overseeing a team of professionals who manage and ensure the university’s compliance with regulatory and quality standards. This role involves supervising and coordinating the daily operations of the compliance team, ensuring that all tasks and assignments are completed effectively and efficiently. The supervisor ensures that team members are appropriately trained and equipped to handle compliance-related matters, while also monitoring progress and performance to meet university goals and regulatory requirements. In addition to managing team workflow, the General Supervisor plays an integral role in fostering a culture of compliance and integrity across the university. They work closely with other departments, units, and colleges to help implement internal controls, processes, and compliance programs, ensuring that all university functions align with legal and regulatory standards. The supervisor also oversees the engagement with regulatory bodies and authorities, ensuring that the university’s compliance stance is effectively represented and maintained in all external communications and negotiations. The General Supervisor serves as a key resource for day-to-day operations, resolving challenges, managing priorities, and providing guidance to team members. By monitoring compliance metrics, coordinating training, and ensuring the team’s alignment with broader institutional goals, the supervisor contributes to the continuous improvement of the university’s compliance program. This role requires strong leadership, excellent communication, and the ability to make informed decisions that ensure the university’s compliance efforts are consistently upheld.
