Compliance Services ensures the universitys compliance with regulatory and quality standards and fosters a culture of integrity. Works with colleges and units to develop and implement internal controls, processes, and programs that access and enhance compliance. May engage with regulatory commissions and authorities or advance university positions with external and internal stakeholders.

Position Summary

The Architect within Compliance Services plays a pivotal role in designing, developing, and implementing complex compliance structures, frameworks, and processes that ensure the university adheres to regulatory and quality standards. Working independently, the Architect leverages advanced technical expertise to create systems and solutions that enhance compliance efforts across the university. This role involves designing scalable compliance architectures that can be integrated into various departments and operational functions, ensuring the seamless and effective management of compliance obligations and risk mitigation strategies. The Architect works closely with compliance teams to provide guidance on the technical aspects of regulatory requirements and ensures that internal controls, processes, and systems are robust and resilient. As a senior individual contributor, the Architect provides leadership and mentorship to junior staff and other team members involved in compliance-related projects. They play a critical role in identifying and addressing complex compliance challenges through innovative solutions, including system integrations, process automation, and data management. The Architect also advises on the technical aspects of compliance regulations, ensuring that systems and technologies comply with both industry standards and legal requirements. They may engage with external regulatory authorities and other stakeholders to communicate the university's compliance strategies and seek guidance on best practices, helping to maintain and enhance the institution's compliance posture. The Architect within Compliance Services is responsible for continuously evaluating and improving the university’s compliance infrastructure, identifying emerging technological trends, and integrating new tools and technologies into the compliance framework. They lead efforts to optimize compliance-related workflows and data management processes, making recommendations for technological enhancements that improve efficiency and accuracy. Through their advanced expertise, the Architect ensures the university remains at the forefront of compliance standards, fostering a culture of integrity and accountability across all levels of the organization.
