Position Summary

The General Coordinator within Investigations plays a key role in supporting the investigations team by ensuring the timely and accurate execution of Title IX and civil rights investigations. The position requires coordination and communication with various stakeholders to facilitate investigation processes. The General Coordinator will assist in gathering information, scheduling interviews, maintaining case files, and preparing reports, ensuring that all documentation adheres to university policies and regulatory requirements. This role is essential in maintaining the integrity and thoroughness of investigations related to gender-based violence, harassment, and discrimination. In this capacity, the General Coordinator works closely with investigators and other university departments, including Legal and Compliance, to provide support to individuals involved in investigations. The coordinator ensures that appropriate supportive measures, such as accommodations or safety planning, are made available to individuals who report experiencing harassment or violence. Additionally, the General Coordinator may assist in providing resources and support services to affected individuals, ensuring a compassionate and respectful response to complaints, while upholding the institution's commitment to compliance and Civil Rights. This role requires a detail-oriented individual with a strong understanding of investigative procedures and relevant legal requirements. While the General Coordinator does not conduct investigations independently, they play a critical role in ensuring investigations are completed promptly and in line with university policies. The position requires strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills, as well as the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines. The General Coordinator is also expected to contribute to maintaining a respectful and safe campus environment by supporting the investigation process and collaborating with stakeholders to address issues related to discrimination and harassment.
