Legal Services manages and supports the advisory services provided by the law departments. May allocate resources to ensure the most critical work is covered or may manage the relationship of outsourcing partners. Ensures that counsel given implements legal best practices and mitigates risk of litigation.

Position Summary

The Senior General Coordinator within Legal Services plays a key role in supporting the Legal and Compliance department by coordinating a range of legal advisory and administrative functions. This individual contributes to the effective delivery of legal counsel and compliance initiatives by liaising with internal departments and external stakeholders, including government agencies, vendors, and regulatory bodies. The role helps ensure that the organization upholds a strong culture of compliance and integrity, while actively supporting legal strategies that align with institutional goals and risk management practices. As part of the Legal Services team, the Senior General Coordinator provides operational and resource management support to facilitate timely and accurate legal advice across the institution. This includes coordinating workloads, assisting in the prioritization of critical legal matters, and managing relationships with external legal service providers. The role ensures legal services are delivered in accordance with best practices, helping to minimize legal exposure and ensure regulatory compliance across departments. Operating as an individual contributor at a senior level, this position demands a high degree of autonomy, subject-matter expertise, and strategic coordination. While not a direct people manager, the Senior General Coordinator may lead initiatives, guide the work of colleagues, and serve as a process owner or functional expert. The position is situated within General Administration and requires both professional judgment and collaboration to influence outcomes and support a high-functioning legal and compliance environment.
