Position Summary

The Associate General Coordinator within Library Services plays an essential role in supporting the library’s operational and administrative functions to enhance academic teaching, learning, and research across the university. The primary focus of this position is to assist in the organization, access, and acquisition of library collections and specialized information systems. The Associate General Coordinator works under the guidance of senior staff, contributing to various tasks such as coordinating resources, assisting with project management, and ensuring that materials are organized and accessible to support academic needs. As an individual contributor, the Associate General Coordinator is responsible for executing a variety of tasks within library services. This includes coordinating the processes involved in the cataloging and management of library materials, overseeing the scheduling and distribution of collections, and assisting with the implementation of library policies. The position requires the individual to work independently within their defined scope of responsibilities, while also collaborating with other team members to ensure that library services run smoothly and efficiently. This role also involves influencing the workflow and contributing to continuous improvements in library operations. In addition to daily operational tasks, the Associate General Coordinator helps review and assess library processes and systems, ensuring they meet the university’s academic and research objectives. With a limited level of experience expected, the role provides an opportunity to develop professional skills within library administration while contributing to the success of library services.
