Position Summary

The Senior Analyst within Library Services is a key technical role responsible for overseeing the analysis and management of advanced library systems and technologies that support academic functions. This position requires an individual with a deep understanding of library operations, data analysis, and technology management. The Senior Analyst works independently, providing strategic guidance on the integration and optimization of systems that enhance the accessibility and organization of library collections, aligning with the university’s academic and research needs. They are tasked with leading initiatives aimed at improving library services, utilizing their expertise to recommend and implement technological advancements. In this role, the Senior Analyst takes a leadership position within the library’s technical operations, coordinating complex projects and driving improvements in library systems and processes. They act as the subject matter expert, influencing decisions on system functionality, data management, and information technology tools used across library services. The Senior Analyst works with various teams across the institution, including technical staff, faculty, and academic departments, ensuring the seamless integration of library technologies into the broader academic and research environment. They also play a critical role in troubleshooting complex technical issues and supporting the development of policies and strategies related to the library's digital infrastructure. The Senior Analyst operates with a high level of autonomy, with responsibility for leading specific initiatives and collaborating with other senior staff. This role requires substantial experience and education in technical systems management and data analysis, as well as strong leadership skills to guide and mentor less experienced team members. As a senior-level individual contributor, the Senior Analyst will have significant influence over the library's technological strategy, driving improvements that support the university’s academic mission and enhancing the overall user experience within the library’s digital environment.
