Position Summary

The Senior Academic Coordinator in Project Management plays a vital role in supporting and leading academic-focused projects that align with the university’s strategic initiatives. This position manages and coordinates efforts related to the planning, execution, and successful completion of time-bound projects that support student success, academic program development, and institutional effectiveness. With a strong understanding of academic operations and project management principles, the Senior Academic Coordinator serves as a key liaison between faculty, administrators, and campus partners to ensure project goals are met efficiently and effectively. Operating as a senior individual contributor, this role independently manages project timelines, resources, and stakeholder communications while often leading or coordinating cross-functional teams. Responsibilities include defining project scope, developing detailed work plans, monitoring milestones, identifying and addressing risks or obstacles, and ensuring alignment with institutional policies and academic priorities. The Senior Academic Coordinator may also contribute to process improvements, recommend policy changes, and provide guidance to junior staff or team members involved in project execution. The position requires substantial experience in academic administration and project management, along with the ability to navigate complex university structures and foster collaboration across departments. The Senior Academic Coordinator is expected to demonstrate initiative, strong organizational and communication skills, and the ability to drive results in a fast-paced, goal-oriented environment. Through this work, the coordinator supports innovative academic initiatives and contributes directly to the continuous improvement and advancement of the university’s academic mission.
