Position Summary

The Senior General Coordinator within Contracts and Licensing plays a pivotal role in supporting the legal and financial aspects of research initiatives at the university. As an individual contributor, the Senior General Coordinator is responsible for managing, coordinating, and overseeing the initiation and execution of contracts and licensing agreements that facilitate research programs. They work closely with researchers, faculty, and external partners to ensure that all agreements align with institutional goals and comply with legal, regulatory, and financial standards. This role is integral in ensuring that research collaborations are executed efficiently, protecting the university's interests while supporting the research community. The Senior General Coordinator actively engages in drafting, reviewing, and negotiating contracts and licensing agreements related to research, ensuring that the terms are favorable and compliant with university policies. They work with internal stakeholders, such as research offices and legal departments, to streamline the process and ensure that all agreements are in place to support the successful execution of research projects. The Senior General Coordinator is responsible for tracking contract renewals, amendments, and managing any contractual issues that may arise during the course of research collaborations, ensuring minimal disruption to ongoing research efforts. As a senior-level individual contributor, the Senior General Coordinator is expected to work independently and provide expertise in all aspects of contract and licensing management. They may provide guidance and mentorship to junior staff or team members, ensuring that best practices are followed across the department. With their advanced knowledge of contracts, licensing, and research administration, the Senior General Coordinator plays a crucial role in facilitating the smooth operation of research programs, contributing to the university’s strategic research goals and helping researchers navigate the complexities of legal and financial agreements.
