Leads department heads, chairs, school directors, directors, senior managers, and managers. Scope of responsibility is university wide for an overall college or business unit.

This role also carries significant fiscal authority and operational autonomy, overseeing the budgetary allocations and resource management to support the research function. Additionally, the Executive ensures that all research activities comply with federal regulations, ethical standards, and university guidelines. The General Executive for Research is a key decision-maker in the university’s leadership, influencing the development and success of research programs at the highest level.
