Position Summary

The General Coordinator within Research is responsible for providing essential administrative support to research programs, helping to facilitate the organization, coordination, and execution of various research initiatives. This individual contributor position works closely with research teams to ensure that projects are effectively managed, timelines are adhered to, and all necessary resources are allocated to support the research process. The General Coordinator helps organize research efforts across various disciplines, assisting researchers in navigating the administrative aspects of their programs while ensuring that strategic research goals are met in alignment with institutional priorities. In this role, the General Coordinator is tasked with managing schedules, coordinating meetings, tracking project milestones, and ensuring that documentation for research programs is accurate and up to date. They assist in the preparation of research proposals, support compliance efforts, and help ensure that all necessary approvals, budgets, and reporting requirements are met. The General Coordinator serves as a liaison between research teams, institutional departments, and external collaborators, facilitating communication and helping resolve any administrative challenges that arise during the course of research activities. While the General Coordinator is not expected to act independently in a leadership capacity, they contribute significantly to the success of research programs by efficiently managing day-to-day administrative tasks. This position requires a solid understanding of research processes, organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. The General Coordinator plays a crucial role in supporting researchers and research programs, contributing to the successful execution of the university's strategic research objectives.
