Position Summary

The Senior General Coordinator within the Research division plays a vital role in supporting and advancing the university's research enterprise by coordinating complex administrative functions and strategic initiatives. Working across departments, this position helps streamline operational processes that enable faculty and research teams to successfully pursue, secure, and deliver on research programs. With a focus on cross-disciplinary collaboration, the Senior General Coordinator ensures that institutional research priorities are met through efficient planning and execution. Operating with a high degree of autonomy, this position independently manages the logistics of research initiatives, including coordinating meetings, tracking project milestones, preparing reports, and facilitating communication between internal stakeholders and external partners. The role often serves as a liaison between administrative offices and research personnel, ensuring compliance with university policies and sponsor requirements. It may also involve supporting proposal development, managing research documentation, and organizing workshops or events that foster scholarly engagement. As a senior-level individual contributor, the Senior General Coordinator brings seasoned administrative expertise and leadership to the research administration team. The position may guide junior coordinators or support staff, offering insight into best practices and continuous improvement strategies. By ensuring the smooth operation of complex projects and initiatives, this role contributes directly to the university's research mission, helping to expand its impact, visibility, and success in competitive research landscapes.
