Registrar Services provides professional advice and counseling related to registration, enrollment, degree progress, academic records, financial aid, billing, and payment to prospective, enrolled, and former undergraduate, graduate, professional students, parents and families, and faculty and staff.
Executive
Executive: The positions work is achieved through the strategic direction of the organization as a whole. Executives have direct accountability for setting strategic goals and using resources. They are responsible for administrative oversight of a senior management area or other business unit with a universitywide scope of impact. These positions contribute to the highest-level panels and teams. The decisions made under the purview of the executive positions duties must routinely have direct impact on success across the university and impact the overall development of the university. Executive positions are reflected in the E1-E3 career track levels in the management/leadership track.
Level 1
Associate Executive: Accountable for annual execution of goals and objectives in area of responsibility; disseminates goals to direct reports and ensures goals are operationalized. Recommends and may approve policy for area of operational and/or functional control. Typically has multiple directors and managers as direct reports. Scope of responsibility is a university wide sub-function with multiple disciplines, or multiple functions within a college or business unit.

Position Summary

The Associate Academic Executive within Registrar Services plays a critical role in overseeing the operational effectiveness of key areas within student services, focusing on registration, enrollment, academic records, degree progress, and financial aid. As part of the executive leadership team, the Associate Executive is responsible for setting and executing strategic goals that enhance the student experience while ensuring efficient and accurate administrative processes across the university. This position works closely with senior leadership and other departments to align registrar functions with broader university objectives and policies. In addition to executing strategic goals, the Associate Academic Executive provides oversight and guidance to multiple directors and managers within the registrar office. This includes ensuring that all staff are effectively trained, well-resourced, and aligned with the university’s mission. The role involves collaborating with various academic departments, financial aid, and enrollment services to streamline processes, improve communication, and implement new technologies and systems that support student success. The Associate Executive helps drive continuous improvements in services provided to students, faculty, and staff while fostering an environment of service excellence. The position also requires the Associate Academic Executive to play an active role in policy development and implementation within the registrar’s office, ensuring that all processes comply with university regulations and external standards. This includes reviewing and recommending changes to existing policies and procedures to improve efficiency, accessibility, and overall effectiveness in supporting the university’s academic mission. The Associate Executive is accountable for the successful execution of goals and objectives in the registrar’s domain, with a direct impact on the operational success of the institution as a whole. This role requires strong leadership, strategic thinking, and a deep understanding of the university's academic and operational needs.
