Position Summary

The Senior Clinical Consultant within Clinical Services is an expert-level role that requires extensive experience and advanced knowledge in clinical care delivery and operational strategies. This position is central to shaping and guiding clinical services across the organization, using a high level of clinical expertise to advise and lead the implementation of best practices and evidence-based care protocols. The Senior Clinical Consultant provides strategic insights into optimizing patient care workflows, coordinating clinical activities, and ensuring that care delivery is effective, efficient, and in line with organizational standards and regulatory requirements. As an expert-level contributor, the Senior Clinical Consultant plays a leadership role in driving clinical initiatives across multiple service areas, including direct patient care, mental health services, health education, and other essential clinical disciplines. They are responsible for identifying opportunities for improvement and leading the development of innovative clinical solutions that address both current and emerging healthcare needs. This position requires a deep understanding of healthcare systems, the ability to evaluate complex clinical situations, and the skill to influence key stakeholders at all levels. The Senior Clinical Consultant also mentors and trains clinical staff, ensuring that they are equipped with the knowledge and skills to provide the highest quality care to patients. In addition to their clinical and mentorship responsibilities, the Senior Clinical Consultant will work closely with leadership teams to develop and refine clinical strategies that impact the broader organizational structure. They provide thought leadership in the adoption of new technologies, the integration of multidisciplinary care models, and the alignment of clinical services with organizational goals. The position is characterized by a high level of autonomy, with the Senior Clinical Consultant being the authoritative voice on clinical matters, influencing both clinical policy and the overall direction of care within the organization. This role requires not only expert clinical knowledge but also the ability to lead cross-functional teams and drive initiatives with university-wide scope and impact.
