Health Education and Outreach is responsible for the health of the student and employee population, decreasing the impact of illnesses and diseases by encouraging healthy behavior through education and outreach. Provides health-related education guidelines, encouragement and support to individuals, while holding them accountable for achieving their health goals.

Position Summary

The Academic Coordinator within Health Education and Outreach plays an integral role in supporting and managing health education programs aimed at promoting wellness among students and employees. This intermediate-level position involves organizing, coordinating, and implementing health education initiatives designed to reduce the impact of preventable illnesses and diseases. The Academic Coordinator will work closely with the Health Education team to ensure that educational materials, programs, and events effectively promote healthy behaviors, provide essential health information, and encourage personal responsibility for health and wellness. In this role, the Academic Coordinator will assist with the planning and execution of various health education campaigns, workshops, and outreach events. They will be responsible for coordinating logistics, developing materials, and facilitating communication between faculty, students, and staff. The Academic Coordinator will also track and analyze program outcomes, ensuring that health education efforts are aligned with the broader goals of student services and wellness initiatives. This position will require a solid understanding of public health concepts, strong communication skills, and the ability to collaborate with multiple departments to deliver effective wellness programs. As an individual contributor, the Academic Coordinator will have the opportunity to lead specific projects while being guided by more senior staff members.
