Position Summary

The Academic Coordinator within Housing and Dining Administration plays a vital role in coordinating and supporting the various academic and student life programs related to on-campus housing and dining services. This position works directly with students to ensure that they have access to high-quality residential experiences that are academically enriching, socially stimulating, and conducive to overall student success. The coordinator will collaborate with various departments, including Residence Life and Housing, to assist in creating a supportive living environment that aligns with the university’s mission to foster student engagement and well-being. This role is responsible for assisting in the day-to-day operations of housing and dining services, focusing on supporting students in their transition to and throughout their residential experience. The Academic Coordinator will help implement and coordinate housing assignments, dining services, student events, and educational programs that enhance the residential experience. Additionally, the position requires managing and assessing student satisfaction, identifying areas for improvement, and providing feedback to improve services. The coordinator will also be instrumental in facilitating communication between students, faculty, and housing staff to ensure that students’ academic and personal needs are met. In addition to operational support, the Academic Coordinator will be responsible for data collection, reporting, and tracking academic-related initiatives within Housing and Dining. This includes ensuring that housing and dining programs support academic goals and provide students with an environment conducive to learning. The position also involves collaborating with other student services departments to implement programs that integrate academic success with residential living, helping to create a holistic and impactful student experience. The coordinator will have opportunities to influence policies, contribute to program development, and enhance overall student life on campus.
