Student Success fosters an environment that helps students achieve success. Evaluates students and may make referrals for tutoring, more specialized counseling, and other resources as warranted. Serves as a liaison to other university student resources. Develops and implements academic support programs.

Position Summary

The Associate Academic Coordinator within Student Success plays a key role in supporting the academic journey of students by coordinating services and resources that enhance student achievement. This position involves working directly with students to identify academic challenges, provide guidance, and connect them with appropriate resources such as tutoring, counseling, and academic advising. The role serves as a liaison to various student support services and ensures that students have the tools they need to succeed academically, socially, and personally. The Associate Academic Coordinator is responsible for implementing and overseeing specific academic support programs designed to improve student success. These programs may include study skills workshops, peer tutoring, academic counseling, and other initiatives aimed at enhancing the student experience. In collaboration with other university departments, the coordinator will help assess the effectiveness of these programs and recommend adjustments as necessary. They will also play an essential role in tracking student progress, analyzing academic data, and identifying trends that may inform future initiatives. In this individual contributor role, the Associate Academic Coordinator will work both independently and as part of a team to ensure that academic success programs are carried out effectively. While the position requires some experience and education, it is considered an entry-level professional role, where the coordinator will have the opportunity to develop expertise in student success strategies. The role requires a proactive approach to student support, strong organizational skills, and the ability to foster a positive and supportive environment that encourages student engagement and academic achievement.
