Engagement/Alumni Relations is responsible for the strategy, planning, and execution of events, volunteer activities and partnerships with alumni clubs and/or corporations to further the mission of the university.

Position Summary

The Senior General Coordinator within Engagement/Alumni Relations plays a key role in supporting and advancing the university's alumni relations initiatives. This position is responsible for coordinating and executing strategies that engage alumni through events, volunteer opportunities, and partnerships with alumni clubs and corporations. The Senior General Coordinator ensures that alumni activities align with the university’s mission and contribute to fostering long-term relationships between the institution and its alumni community. By facilitating meaningful engagement, the position enhances the university's alumni network and supports its broader advancement goals. In this individual contributor role, the Senior General Coordinator manages various projects independently, including event planning, coordination of alumni-driven initiatives, and managing communications related to alumni engagement. The position requires a high level of autonomy, as the Coordinator is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day execution of engagement activities, ensuring that events and volunteer opportunities run smoothly, and that all activities are aligned with the university's advancement and fundraising objectives. The Senior General Coordinator also collaborates with colleagues within the Advancement division, providing support for annual and major giving campaigns by encouraging alumni involvement and participation. The Senior General Coordinator also serves as a liaison between alumni and the university, offering personalized support and fostering positive relationships that encourage continued alumni involvement and philanthropic support. By providing leadership in key alumni engagement efforts, this role helps to drive the success of university initiatives and supports the long-term goals of enhancing alumni relations. The Senior General Coordinator's contributions help to build a strong and active alumni community, ultimately supporting the university's mission and advancing its fundraising and donor stewardship efforts.
