Annual Giving/Digital Giving secures annual gift donations to the university. Duties may include identifying, acquiring, and prioritizing donor prospects. Solicits donors through multiple channels including mail, email, crowdfunding, and telephone. Works with a portfolio of assigned donor prospects to establish, cultivate, and solicit ongoing relationships.

Position Summary

The Development Manager for Annual Giving/Digital Giving is responsible for leading and executing strategies to secure annual gifts for the university through multiple fundraising channels, including direct mail, email, crowdfunding, and phone campaigns. This position plays a pivotal role in managing a portfolio of donor prospects, cultivating long-term relationships, and engaging individuals to make recurring gifts that support the university’s mission. The Manager works closely with the Advancement team to identify and prioritize prospects, ensuring effective outreach and stewardship to maintain strong donor engagement. As a key leader in the fundraising team, the Development Manager oversees the day-to-day operations of the annual and digital giving programs. This includes setting and managing goals for giving campaigns, tracking donor progress, and ensuring that fundraising strategies are implemented efficiently across channels. The Manager is also responsible for supervising and mentoring staff, providing guidance on best practices for donor acquisition, cultivation, and solicitation, and ensuring that all campaigns align with the university’s broader fundraising objectives. Additionally, the Manager works to create and maintain a dynamic, donor-centric culture within the team. In collaboration with other departments and leadership, the Development Manager ensures that the annual giving and digital giving programs are data-driven and responsive to donor needs and trends. The position involves regular analysis of campaign performance, using insights to refine strategies and improve results. By leveraging both traditional and digital fundraising methods, the Manager ensures the continuous growth and success of the university’s annual giving program, ultimately contributing to the long-term financial stability and success of the institution.
